Mike,
I have to say that you have been doing an amazing job. I read some of your posts and I agree that building (or rebuilding) a business begins with a sound foundation constructed one solid step at a time. There will ALWAYS be those who will try to feed their overinflated egos by trying to criticize anybody or anything. They don’t seem to realize that everytime they open their mouths, there misinformed brains fall out. This is true everywhere we look these days. It doesn’t take very long before we recognize some of the same individuals time and again. Right or wrong they have to make a comment.
As the proud owner of an Alpha 8410, TenTec Orion II, and an Omni VII, I can say that I am very fortunate to own some of the very best equipment the matket has to offer. Having recently closed my small business and retiring completely I am looking forward to purchasing my next “Dream Rig”. It will be a TenTec and a smaller Alpha solid state Amplifier when the time comes. Till then, I have my Dream Station.
Mike,
I am very thankful that you have taken the helm of Alpha. Glenn and his crew did an outstanding job of repairing the A9500. Our club, Yukon CanAm Contest Club (YCCCN) uses this amp under remote control with the club callsign VY1AAA and makes more contacts than by far than any other Yukon station. This means that most of the time, when someone works the rare Yukon multiplier, they are hearing signals from your amplifier.
This 9500 was made before your time there. Your people made it work better than it ever had from new. For many months now since your repair, it has continued to be completely stable and an absolutely amazing product. I/we appreciate the A9500 you are making and how you well support it and “legacy” amps made made before your time there. Well done. I very HIGHLY recommend The A9500 and the repair service your group provides.
I am in need of a keying cable for my 9500. To be driven with an ICOM IC-781. Please advise as to when it will be available and how to properly oder same. Thanks

There is no special cable needed. Just use an RCA to RCA cable from RELAY jack of the 781 to the KEY IN jack of the 9500.
